Scottish Freemasonry has raised
lots of money for various
charities.
One charity dear to their heart is the children's Hospice CHAS

We were invited along to entertain at a meal 8th May 2004 organised
by ......
The
Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire
and
we were gob smacked when the chairman, Provincial Grand Master John
Herrick, presented a cheque for over £26,000 to CHAS
chief executive Agnes Malone.
This brings the total money donated to CHAS
by this group of Masonic lodges to approx £37,100 !
|
|
Agnes Malone, the lady in blue at the
top table, gave a splendid overview of the work done
by CHAS and thanked everyone most sincerely
for this wonderful donation. PGM John F Herrick then
presented the cheque to warm applause.
We, PiggeryBrae, were invited along to the meal and were royally looked
after and absolutely delighted to play a small part in the wonderful
effort by these Masonic lodges in raising this fantastic sum. We played
two sets of four songs but with two encores!!! we sung a few extras!
All to often the charity work done by masons goes unannounced and its nice
to have this opportunity to give them publicity on the website.

Have
a look at the CHAS
website to see the wonderful work it does.
