THE SCOTTISH POPPY APPEAL:
The Earl Haig Fund Scotland was founded in 1921 with the aim of providing practical help in time of need to all who served in the Armed Forces and their dependants.
The Fund is a registered charity and the principal means of raising money is through the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
which takes place every November in the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday.
On this day services are held at war memorials throughout the country to pay tribute to the Fallen.

PoppyScotland supports other ex-Service organisations.
Charities who have received support from the Fund include:

BENEVOLENCE: The Earl Haig Fund Scotland provides direct financial assistance to ex‑Service men, women and their dependants in need, who reside in Scotland. Advice and financial assistance is offered to ex-Service people and their dependants from the Fund’s office in Edinburgh. Examples of help given include advice on claiming benefits, provision of household items, help with personal needs, such as clothing, travel, medicine, education assistance, disability and mobility help, and liaison with local authorities and ex-Service charities.

DISABLED EMPLOYMENT: The Edinburgh-based Lady Haig's Poppy Factory employs 24 disabled ex-Service men who hand-assemble Scotland's poppies and wreaths and is supported by the Earl Haig Fund Scotland.
As well as poppy and wreath production the Factory boasts an in-house picture framing department, where a professional service is offered at competitive prices.

There is also a printing department which is open to the public. With competitive prices and a wide range of products, from colour copying and business cards to invitations and raffle tickets.
