PiggeryBrae were asked to provide the evenings entertainment at
The Royal Order of Scotland's
Annual dinner, held in the
Roxburghe Hotel, Edinburgh,
on Friday 7th July 2006.
The chairman for the evening was
The Rt.Hon.The Earl of Elgin and Kincardine, K.T.
Over 200 guests were at the dinner from all over the world and we
were invited to add a little Scottish
flavour to the proceedings with a half hour set of Scottish music.
As this order is linked to Robert the Bruce we felt it appropriate
to start of proceedings by singing one of our favourite tunes
Scots wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
Scots wham Bruce has aften led
welcome tae yer gory bed or tae victory
This was followed by several other well known tunes
which were rapturously received.
A donation was given to us which we have passed onto
the Cambuslang & Rutherglen Reachout Trust Christian group. |
